Known by many other names, this is the most simple concept, but the most complex to comprehend.
The All is a Hermetic principle that is rooted in the source of all of the major religions. It means that we are all connected, because everything that is, belongs to the construct of the mind of God.
What does this mean, in theory and also in practice? It is the Seeker who asks the question, “Who am I, and why am I here?” These existential questions are rooted in the separation of our individual selves from the greater whole on this planet.
In essence, we are all individual “experiences” of the greater Spirit. This Spirit can be called God, Yahweh, the Lord, Source, Ra, the Creator, or any other descriptor that seeks to name the single point of our entire existence. To keep things simple, I shall generally refer to this utmost being as the The All. For The All encompasses everything that is, was, and will come into being.
All other derivatives are simply complexities of The All. Everything that is can only be so from the single Source. Angels, gods and goddesses, demons, and any other etheric being that is worshipped is only but another facet of The All. The All is not only all that is (something), but also all that is not (nothing). If it is thought or conceived, it is because the thought belongs to All that Is. Something cannot come from nothing, but nothing can come from something, because nothing is simply the not-yet-manifested creation of The All. It is the void, which is simply the empty space that The All constantly creates from to give contrast to All that Is. Don’t overthink it. We are all from the same Source that was, is, and will be. We are all related, because we all stem from the same root.
Why are we here?
This is one of the greatest questions of all time! Simply put, we are here to to explore our individual being to further enhance the mind of The All. All thoughts, actions, and manifestations are created and experienced through the lens of our individual being to bring further knowledge so that The All can know Itself. To be alive and contribute to the collective existence of The All is the greatest task that anyone can have, and yet, we don’t have to do anything but to be fully authentic in our own being to fully bring these experiences back to God. Yes, we link these experiences, as subjective and unique as they are to us, to our own identity, but that knowledge is shared back to The All. Being infused with the God-seed, we are part of the whole, and everything we go through just makes God even that much more awesome.
Why do we get upset when we see something we don’t agree with?
Since we are all part of the greater Light, we have within us the discernment of what brings us closer to the Source of God. We inherently know what brings us closer, and what takes us farther away from the Light of God. Sin, as it is labeled, is simply making decisions that bring us farther away from the benevolence of Cosmic Laws. When we act in accordance with the Divine (the Cosmic Law of The All), we feel closer to the being of God. When we act selfishly to only hold to our own desires, then we feel farther away from the Creator. Hence, our judgement upon each other, and ourselves, is based on this innate knowing of what is God-like, and what is not. This is why the master Jesus (Yeshua) said that we must only need to concern ourselves with two things in this world:
– Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. (Because we are a piece of the Heart of God.)
– Love your neighbor as you love yourself. (Because we belong to the same family.)
Summary…
Nothing exists outside of the realm of The All (aka God, et al). We exist simply to live our lives to gain more experience for the collective edification of God.
We all come from the Source; We are all a part of the Source; and we are all connected in our relationship to being one with the Source.
Beautiful in its application, it means that we are all together, and never separated. We see contrasts to our own path, but it is only when we come together that we can see the face of the Divine.
