Imagine if a person from the 1600s were suddenly to fall into a time-anomaly wormhole and arrive in the year 2025. To illustrate, we’ll set a scene who did just this. Her name is Alice. Alice was happily waiting for the Mayflower to arrive at port in the New World (now known the USA) in 1620. She had hopes and dreams of being one of the first westerners to arrive in the unknown territory. She felt it would be a nice chance to start anew, away from all the wars and violent skirmishes that were raging across Europe and other parts of the world. Little did Alice know that her trip across the ‘big pond’ was more than a trip over a large ocean… as her day would end up launching her into a whole new era of time!
Alice had just arrived at port and finished settling into her new digs at the log cabin. She had all the basics to get ready for the incoming winter, but she heard that there were some edible varieties of plants out in the forest. After her morning duties were complete, she decided to take a walk through the nearby woods. While foraging about, she saw what initially looked like a cave. It was indeed a hole in the forest, but it was created by a space-time anomaly! The subtle glow coming from this hole on the side of a grassy hill piqued her interest, so she drew closer to investigate. She had her gaze fixed so intently on the hole that she didn’t notice the large roots beneath her feet. She tripped, and lost her footing and fell down the hill right into the opening of the strange hole.
There was nothing to grab onto in the hole that became a slippery tube. Her fall accelerated faster and faster. Her life passed before her eyes! Suddenly things began to slow down as she saw a light at the end of the warped tunnel, and was ejected out and into the field where she had started. She stood up and brushed herself off. Nothing broken, just a few scratches and a wild headache. She quickly made her way back to the settlement.
She ran into the first building she could see. There were more people than when she left, and many more buildings, too! People were dressed similar to her, so she wasn’t immediately aware of the 400+ years that had passed. Her initial shock was buffered by the fact that the town was having a Renaissance festival, so people dressed much like she did, but that’s where the similarities ended. The first thing Alice noticed was that people were all walking around with their heads bowed down, staring into small rectangular things that fit in their hands, and some even had loud sounds and voices coming from these strange devices!
A young man, D-Wayne, saw the bewildered and shocked expression on Alice’s face and approached her. He found her cute and admired how well she dressed up for the festival, including the smell like she just got back from a long journey on a ship that had no shower. D-Wayne tried one of his favorite gen Z pickup lines.
“Hey girl! Did you just step outa TikTok ’cause my hearts doin’ a big mac!” And then he did something with his two hands scrunched together that she didn’t recognize. Though she could only understand one or two words of what he said, she figured he was trying to somehow impress her. Normally she would tell such a person to jump off the nearest plank, but she needed answers. The first one being, why did he stuff his ears with strange white things that looked kinda shiny.
Alice knew something unexplainable happened and that she was somewhere (or some time) that she never knew existed. She explained to him that she just arrived from a small village in England that had nothing like what her eyes were seeing. She used small words since it seemed like D-Wayne was a pretty simple guy.
Alice was sure that people in this age were all magicians and miracle workers. It was the only explanation! Though most everything she encountered helped to reinforce this conclusion, the most mystifying thing were these small handheld devices. By what invisible power could people talk to each other, and how was the sound only coming through the little white ear shiny things? There wasn’t even a wire like two cans strung together with a string! D-Wayne was pretty useless in trying to explain how they worked. He just told her to go to the T-Mobile store so she could get her own ‘little magic box’ and white ear buds.
Miracles and magic are simply terms used for things we experience that cannot be explained by the constructs in our minds.
How would we explain to a person from the past how a small handheld device with a screen has the power to bring about music, video, and practically any information that we may want to have? Many of us are hard-pressed to understand computer binary code, and most of us would be troubled to explain how the information sends wirelessly through routers and cell towers. We accept these advancements, including the basics of electricity, as something that “just is” in our modern society whether we understand them or not. To us, they are just new products on the market.
Magic and miracles are terms used to explain things that we don’t understand, and instead attribute the unknown to supernatural forces or beings. This is exactly what Alice did when she was trying to wrap her 1620s mind around what her eyes were seeing. We do the same to explain things we also can’t explain.
Everything in existence has to conform within the limits of Cosmic Law (also known as Natural Law).
EXAMPLE 1: A mother gets a strong thought in her mind that her son was just in a car accident. She calls him to find out that she was right, and that he thankfully got out of it with only a broken arm. We have all heard of stories like this, but understand little how it works. Mystics know that we are all connected through a human-energy-fabric network that enables all sorts of psychic abilities. This energetic network doesn’t conform to scientific method, so most of the ‘experts’ out there say psychic ability is simply nonsense. In actuality, these abilities are all part of the psychic sixth-sense that we are just beginning to comprehend (article).
EXAMPLE 2: A person with cancer is miraculously healed after a church group collectively prays for the person every night for two weeks. It’s easy to attribute this miracle to God, but it is no mystery to a mystic how an egregore of people can focus through prayer and powerfully raise the vibration of the intended person in such a way that heals even the worst of illnesses.
Everything imagined and not yet imagined must fall under Cosmic Law, which are the “rules and regs” of our entire existence, including all known and unknown / parallel universes. There is nothing that can operate outside of these laws, and any student who seeks to understand life’s mysteries are satisfied of this fact as s/he learns more about the workings of these natural laws.
There will be a day when we understand enough how gravity works to create anti-gravity transport vehicles, and we will access parts of our brains to be able to see and commune with people around the globe (and possibly beyond) without any sort of technology. There is so much that we don’t understand, and I find it is especially imperative to stop trying to shut down anything that doesn’t agree with contemporary knowledge. Calling things we don’t understand demonic or pseudoscience simply adds roadblocks to our collective growth.
We are the magicians and the miracle workers… and the Law is working within us. Opening the mind to explore the mysteries of life is a rewarding venture that will forever stimulate and satisfy the curious mind. As for our friend Alice, I understand she made a nice home in Bhutan, where things move a lot slower and technology isn’t pervasively in all aspects of life.
